MAYVILLE – A 74-year-old woman convicted in the death of a Town of Busti man last year is now being sued by his family.

Marylou Johnson, the Town of Busti woman who previously plead guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the death of Wilfredo Colon-Rodriguez, Jr., was named in a lawsuit filed this week in state Supreme Court in Chautauqua County.

The suit was filed by Buffalo Attorney Taylor Golba of Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria.

Johnson, as part of a plea deal, accepted a sentencing commitment of 2-to-6 years behind bars.

In April 2018, Colon-Rodriguez Jr. was reported missing by a neighbor who became concerned after not speaking with him for several days.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department then opened a missing persons case. His body was later found on Swanson Hill Road in Randolph.
