Investigators believe an altercation between the suspect and man shot likely occurred prior to the shooting.

The victim’s vehicle then reportedly struck a parked car on Hazzard Street. Police say they recovered a loaded pistol inside the victim’s vehicle. Officer believe the weapon belonged to him.
The man was taken to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital before he was transferred to UPMC Hamot.
