Sheriff’s Office Investigating Stolen Tool Theft

ARKWRIGHT – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a Ford pick-up truck and subsequent a large quantity of construction tools was stolen last month.

Investigators say a red 2011 Ford F-350 pick-up truck was stolen on May 21 around 4:30 a.m. from a location on Center Road in the Town of Arkwright.

The truck, deputies say, was later recovered but all the tools inside were taken from the vehicle.


The tools included several Dewalt and Makita hand tools, drills, impact drivers, socket sets, GPS unit, Husky tool set, craftsman toolbox, torch set, gauges, oxygen, propane tanks, welding helmets and other miscellaneous tools.

Deputies say the victim used the tools to perform his job duties.
