Traffic Chase, Foot Pursuit Leads To Arrest

POLAND — A traffic chase turned into a foot pursuit for Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies with K-9 Link apprehending a Jamestown man.

Deputies attempted to stop Thomas Kimbrough Sr., 50, for an observed traffic violation at 11:32 p.m. Sunday on Main Street in Falconer.

Deputies said the suspect fled the scene and the vehicle chase ended when Kimbrough crashed into a tree on Quaint Road.











Deputies said he then fled on foot into the woods.

K-9 Officer Link, while trailing Kimbrough, founds 19 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of cocaine, 29 grams of methamphetamine, scales, packaging and a large amount of money.

Link found Kimbrough in dense bushes.









Kimbrough was charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unlawful fleeing police, several traffic violations and parole violation on an original charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
