WATCH: Chautauqua County District Attorney, Executive Candidates Debate

JAMESTOWN – The candidates for Chautauqua County District Attorney and County Executive faced off Thursday night during a debate in Jamestown.


At 6 p.m. Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson (D) and challenger Jason Schmidt (R) went head-to-head during a 60-minute debate at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts.

Then, at 7 p.m., Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel (R) and opponent Richard Morrisroe (D) took the stage.

Moderated by WRFA’s Jason Sample, the discussion involved questions from participating media members WJTN’S Terry Frank and WNY News Now’s Justin Gould.



There was also an opportunity for each candidate to ask one question to one another.
