Man Allegedly Bites State Trooper Responding To A Domestic Disturbance

RIPLEY – A Village of Fredonia man sits in county jail after allegedly biting a New York State Trooper responding to a reported domestic disturbance last week in Ripley.

New York State Police say on Friday 41-year-old Scott Walker was drunk when he allegedly threw items around a residence causing damage to the drywall and the television screen.

While police were attempting to place him under arrest, they say Walker actively resisted and bit one of the troopers.

Walker was taken into custody soon after and brought to the Chautauqua County Jail.

He is charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

Police say the trooper was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
