JAMESTOWN – Two Jamestown residents are behind bars after allegedly holding a person at gunpoint during a dispute over the weekend.

Jamestown Police allege 52-year-old Roberto Morales-Sanchez and 23-year-old Taylor Austin were involved in an argument over stolen property Saturday where Morales-Sanchez allegedly pointed a revolved at a resident.

Furthermore, police say Austin allegedly prevented the resident from calling 911.

The victim was eventually able to get away, fleeing the house on foot. Neighbors eventually called 911 to report the incident to police.

Officers were able to track down and arrested the duo, who police say was driving around looking for the victim.

After getting a search warrant, police found almost $25,000 in cash, a .357 magnum revolver, and some drug packaging.

Police say the two were taken into custody and facing several charges.
