LAKEWOOD – A project that would transform a popular park in Lakewood could break ground next spring.
The Lakewood Community Development Corporation says a state-of-the-art, all-inclusive playground, will be built in Hartley Park in spring 2022.
The playground will feature natural colors and several unique installations like a zipline, dual hill racing slides and a custom imaginative-play clubhouse.
Additionally, there will be new park walkways, stairs and ADA-accessible parking places.
The group plans to fund the $400,000 project through private donations and grants from local foundations.
Notably, over $125,000 has already been raised from private donors. Sponsorship or donation opportunities are posted at lcdcny.org.
