COLDSPRING – A 31-year-old Steamburg man is facing charges after allegedly choking a woman in front of her children during a violent domestic dispute this week.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office accused Dustin Kling of attacking the woman in front of two children who woke up to the commotion at their Coldspring residence just after 4 a.m. on Monday.

Deputies allege Kling choked her to the point she could not breath.

He was later arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

After arraignment in the Town of Coldspring court, deputies say Kling was released on his own recognizance.
