JAMESTOWN – AT&T customers in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties may have noticed a boost to their wireless communications thanks to an expansion by the telecommunications company.

In total, three new cell towers were installed over the past months in the Towns of Forestville, Hanover and Dayton.

The company also expanded its FirstNet network within the counties offering LTE coverage to first responders.

Unlike traditional commercial network, AT&T says FirstNet provides dedicated mobile broadband when needed for public safety officials.

From 2017 to 2019, AT&T has invested nearly $1.6 billion in its New York wireless and wired networks.

The company says the new infrastructure will also help improve the overall coverage experience for AT&T wireless customers in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus County.
