WARREN – A test of Warren County Pennsylvania’s emergency weather sirens is set to get underway on Thursday.

Emergency crews in Warren say the annual test is part of preparations for the severe weather season.

Every year, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency conducts two tests to make sure everything is working correctly.

The siren test will be conducted Thursday at 9 a.m.

Unlike conventional fire sirens, officials say the weather sirens will broadcast for a long period of time.
