ELLINGTON – A 20-year-old Falconer man is behind bars following a violent domestic dispute.

New York State Police say Jeremy Rogers was arrested at a residence in Ellington on Thursday.

It is alleged Rogers, while violating a court order of protection, struck and choked the victim.

This incident allegedly happened in front of two young children, who police say were also protected parties in the stay-away order.

He also allegedly damaged a vehicle that was at the property.

Rogers was placed under arrest and charged with first-degree and second-degree criminal contempt, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Police say he was processed at the State Police Barracks in Jamestown and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
