Vega Street Raid Nets Seizure of Fentanyl, Meth In City Of Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – An executed search warrant at 44 Vega St. Thursday morning resulted in the seizure of 26.7 grams of fentanyl, 38.4 grams of methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials and money in Jamestown.

Two men were reportedly inside during the time of the raid. Eric R. Vangiesen was one of the individuals located inside the apartment, according to police.

Vangiesen was placed under arrest for an arrest warrant that he had out of the City of Jamestown for aggravated family offense, criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree reckless endangerment, second degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.











Police say the investigation is continuing and further charges are expected in the future. The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Jamestown Police Department, Ellicott Police Department, and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The JMDTF was also assisted by the Jamestown Police K-9 Unit, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. Anyone with information on the trafficking of narcotics or other criminal activity are asked to call the anonymous tips line at 716-483-TIPS (8477).
