BUSTI – A woman is accused of driving while intoxicated following a crash in the Town of Busti on Saturday night.

Lakewood-Busti Police say Kayla Clark crashed her vehicle in a wooded area off of Baker Street Extension around 11:45 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they say Clark was nowhere to be found.

Through further investigation police located Clark walking away from the area along the roadway.

Clark, police say, refused to submit a chemical breath test after she allegedly showed signs of impairment.

She is charged with DWI, expired inspection, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to notify DMV of change of address, refusal of breath screening test and moved from lane unsafely.

Officers say Clark was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Busti Court at a later date.
