RANDOLPH – Over 800 people are without power following a mid-morning outage in Randolph.

The outage spans from Sample Road in the Town of Conewango to parts of Main Street southward in Randolph. Additionally, areas of East Randolph north along Elm Creek and Jamestown Roads are impacted.

According to NYSEG’s outage map, electricity will likely be restored around 3 p.m. Tuesday for most customers.

A storm producing winds up to 50 m.p.h. moved through the area prior to the reported outage. While the energy company says they are still investigating the source of the issue, weather is likely the culprit.

In another area of the region, around 100 people in the Town of Busti are in the dark as well.

National Grid reports a crew has been assigned to fix the issue, which is impacting those in the area of Wellman Road.

Electricity there should be back around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
