NORTH HARMONY – Police have terminated a pursuit with a vehicle clocked at driving over 100 m.p.h. on I-86 Wednesday afternoon.

New York State Police Captain Eric Balon tells WNY News Now troopers attempted to stop a 2021 Honda HRV registered from West Henrietta in Monroe County, New York .

After pursuing the vehicle west from the Town of North Harmony, troopers terminated the chase at the New York-Pennsylvania line.

Balon says it is his agency’s protocol to not pursue outside of the state, unless a serious crime has occurred.

The Pennsylvania State Police have the driver’s information, and Balon says, the agency will likely attempt to stop the vehicle if they have a car in the area.
