WARREN (Erie News Now) – Wednesday’s storms damaged trees and other property and brought down power lines in Warren and Youngsville.

At Warren State Hospital, some trees came down, and debris was scattered along the road.

Some residents on Hatch Rd. had close calls with trees, which just missed falling on their homes.

At Youngsville Cemetery, Erie News Now found broken tombstones. Workers spent the morning cutting up trees and limbs that had fallen.

Mayor Scott Nelson says the storm took a “straight line path”, which started at his house just blocks away from the cemetery, and continued through the town.

Elsewhere in Youngsville, residents on Bates Street were left without power after several power lines were downed by the heavy wind and rain.

Youngsville Borough officials said the cemetery suffered the worst of the damage. They expect the cleanup to take around 3-4 days.
