BUFFALO – A 35-year-old Jamestown man has been indicted for escaping custody.

The U.S. Attorney in Buffalo reports that Jensen Vasquez escaped from the Community Resources for Justice, Lighthouse Buffalo Residential Reentry Center, in April.

Vasquez, prosecutors say, was serving a five year term after he was conviction on a federal narcotics charge in 2018.

The U.S. Marshals Service took Vasquez back into custody on May 21.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
