ALBANY – New York State’s Assembly Judiciary Committee is slated to release a final report of its impeachment investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The news was announced Monday in a joint statement by Speaker Carl Heastie and Chair Charles Lavine.

The group of lawmakers do not want the release to interfere with various ongoing investigations, including the probe by the United States Attorney looking into state nursing home data, the AG’s probe of the governor’s memoir, and local law enforcement from five jurisdictions looking at the possibility of criminal incidents of sexual misconduct.

Friday, Heastie announced the Assembly will suspend its impeachment investigation once Cuomo steps down.
