Lakewood Man Charged With DWI After Police Say He Backed Into A Patrol Car

LAKEWOOD – A 66-year-old man is accused of driving while intoxicated after police say he backed his truck into a patrol car during a traffic stop in Lakewood this week.

Lakewood-Busti Police report that William Urbanski was pulled over on East Fairmount Avenue around 6:20 p.m. Sunday when officers observed his vehicle allegedly commit traffic violations.

Once Urbanski pulled over, officers say he backed his pickup truck into the front of a patrol car.











When the man exited his vehicle, police allege Urbanski was visibly intoxicated.

After standardized field sobriety tests were administered, police said Urbanski’s blood alcohol content returned almost three times the legal limit.

Urbanski is charged with driving while intoxicated, among other traffic violations.
