SILVER CREEK – Investigators are trying to identify a duo who crashed into the Silver Creek Dollar General and stole a safe earlier this week.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says the crime happened at the store located at 1360 Rt. 5 and 20 on October 18 around 2:18 a.m.

Investigators say two unknown people drove a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer into the front of the building, causing damage to the store.

The suspects then got out of the vehicle, grabbed a safe from inside the store and drove off. The vehicle was later located in Silver Creek.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Investigator Vara at (716) 753-4910.
