WARREN – The 57-year-old accused of fatally shooting a man in Warren County earlier this year has plead guilty in the case.

Court records obtained by WNY News Now reveal that Haggar Brewer has plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Victor Vantassel III.

Prosecutors claimed that Brewer shot and killed Vantassel at a residence in the 24000 block of Cold Springs Road in Spring Creek Township on the evening of March 29.

As part of the plea, the charges of criminal homicide and third-degree murder were withdrawn.

The trial against Brewer was previously slated to get underway in December.
