JAMESTOWN – A winter weather advisory is in place for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties as Lake Effect Snow is expected to impact the region overnight.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo says the advisory is in place from 4 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday.
In total three to five inches of new snowfall is expected with the most persistent lake snows impacting the higher terrain.
Officials say plan for slippery road conditions during the evening commute Monday and the morning commute on Tuesday as lake effect snow could create rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
