JAMESTOWN – The next winter blast could bring nearly a foot of snow to parts of Chautauqua County through Saturday morning.

A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in place from 1 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo says around 6 to 11 inches of new snowfall is expected.

Gusty winds will also likely be an issue, with gusts as high as 40 m.p.h. likely.

Travel could be very difficult, with officials saying areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility on the roadways.
