Winter Weather Advisory Issued

JAMESTOWN – A winter weather advisory is in place for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties as Lake Effect Snow is expected to impact the region Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. 

The National Weather Service has issued the advisory from 1 PM Sunday to 7 AM Monday. The advisory also covers McKean and Warren counties in Pennsylvania.

In total 4-8 inches of snow accumulation is possible, with locally higher accumulations possible in the most persistent snow bands.

A Winter Storm Watch has also been issued for Southern Erie county in Pennsylvania for the same time frame with 8-12 inches of snow possible.
