JAMESTOWN – A wanted Jamestown woman is facing charges after allegedly backing into a police vehicle overnight.

Jamestown Police say Cynthia Scholeno was stopped in a parking lot near the intersection of Harrison and South Main Streets just after midnight Monday for outstanding arrest warrants from neighboring departments.

During the stop, officers allege Scholeno refused to exit her vehicle. During that time, it is alleged she “intentionally” backed into a police vehicle.

She was then removed from her car and taken into custody following a brief struggle.

Scholeno is charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
