WARREN (Erie News Now) – Plans for a traffic controlling roundabout in our area is expected to be the focus of a meeting in Warren later today.

PennDOT has been working on the roundabout, planned for the intersection of Market Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, for awhile now.

They say they’ve spend about a million dollars so far, just on the planning process.

But, newly elected Warren Mayor David Wortman asked for the issue to be part of a meeting set for later today, he said during the campaign that citizens didn’t want the roundabout, and that it wasn’t good for the city.

PennDOT’s looking to award contracts for the project by April.
