LAKEWOOD – An artsy Valentine’s Day themed fundraiser is taking place in Lakewood this weekend, with proceeds benefiting the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
As part of a weekend of holiday themed events at the Chautauqua Mall, the Arts and Hearts fundraiser will give participants an opportunity to create their own 11 x 14 canvas keepsake or gift for their valentine.
Jenny Brown, a local high school art teacher, is donating her time to do the class. Refreshments will be served and dogs, of course, are welcome. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.
In addition to the painting class, furry friends are invited to fill the mall for “Shop With Your Pet.”
Well-behaved leashed-dogs can join their families and enjoy a day of shopping from noon to 4 p.m. Free doggie treat bags will be given to our four legged shoppers, while supplies last.
In addition, the mall is also celebrating friendship with a “Bestie Bash” and Bestie Bash Hearts and Crafts event. More information on all of the happenings is posted at chautauquamall.com.
