MAYVILLE – The Department of Motor Vehicles are extending their hours this weekend as influx of out of state snowmobilers is expected to visit our region.

Chautauqua County Clerk Larry Barmore announced extended hours for the Village of Mayville’s DMV office on Tuesday.

He says the facility will be open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday for walk-in services.

Barmore is anticipating that hundreds of out of state snowmobilers will be coming to Chautauqua County because of the recent heavy snowfall and the expected continued cold temperatures.

The surge of visitors, he goes on to say, is a welcome presence and needed business during the winter months. That’s why the Clerk is once again rolling out extended hours to cater to those visiting the area.
