EIRE, Pa. (Erie News Now) – The Erie Zoo officially reopened on Tuesday, after their yearly three-month hiatus.

Mild temperatures made for a perfect day to see the animals for the first time this season, as dozens of people showed up for the opener.

The Zoo will be holding their Grand Reopening celebration on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event includes free admission and several giveaways and discounts throughout the day.
