RANDOLPH – A Town of Randolph teenager is accused of stealing a motor vehicle not once, but twice in one month’s time.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that 18-year-old Marni Jones was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged crime on July 11 and July 20.

In the first incident, it is alleged Jones stole a car only to abandon the vehicle, leaving the scene on foot.

Following her arrest in the latest alleged theft, Jones was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing before she was released with an appearance ticket.

She is schedule to face the charge in Conewango Town Court at a later date.

In a separate incident this month, a 16-year-old resident of the Randolph Children’s Home faces charges in Family Court in connection with another vehicle theft.
