ELLICOTT, NY (WNY News Now) – A fundraiser to promote motorcycle safety is taking place this weekend in Falconer.

Hosted by Dowiasz Auto Service, proceeds from the bike detail fundraiser benefit new riders taking the Motorcycle Safety School Course.

The event is in memory of 23-year-old Randolph resident Austin Shaffer, who passed away over the summer during a motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania.

In addition to a free hot dog lunch, motorcycle detailing will take place, with a $25 dollar “flash detail” featuring a full wash and wipe down. Walk-ins are welcomed.

Furthermore, in what normally would be a $200 dollar service, the experts at Dowiasz Auto are selling a $100 dollar “full spiff detail” which includes a wash, decontaminate and clay bar wipe of exterior surfaces, along with a wax and chrome polish.

The fundraiser is happening on Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harley Davidson of Jamestown, 1951 East Main Street in Falconer.
