JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man wanted by three different police departments for various crimes was arrested this week during a traffic stop.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department took Paul Briggs into custody following a traffic stop at 40 Hallock Street in the City of Jamestown on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old had several outstanding warrants seeking his arrest from the City of Jamestown, Lakewood-Busti Police and Warren PA.

Police also said they recovered three different controlled substances with a quantity of pills and methamphetamines Briggs allegedly concealed inside his pants.

Briggs now faces several felony drug and fugitive from justice charges.









A further investigation also allegedly discovered cocaine in the possession of a passenger in the vehicle: Ryan English. The 30-year-old Warren, PA man was also arrested.

English was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
