SALAMANCA, NY (WNY News Now) – A Panama man accused of driving high faces criminal charges following a crash in Cattaraugus County.

On Monday morning the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Bucktooth Run Road in the Town of Salamanca.

Deputies located a car, operated by BillyJack Heilman, in a ditch in front of a residence.

During an interview with Heilman, deputies said he exhibited signs imparity and was in possession of narcotics.

Following an investigation by a drug recognition expert, the 37-year-old was accused of driving while ability impaired by drugs.
