JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – With spring just around the corner, you might be getting ready to clean out your closet making room for more seasonal attire. Those at Jamestown High School are asking all to consider donating your winter wear before throwing out “old clothing.”

The parent-teacher-student organization is hosting a donation drive for the JHS Closet next Tuesday, May 2 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the high school.

The JHS Closet provides students with items, free of charge, such as personal hygiene products, coats, gloves, hats, or school supplies to those in-need.

Anyone with gently used or good condition jackets, joggers or sweatpants are asked to consider donating the items. New hygiene products, socks and underwear are also needed.

The closet is in need of gently used or good condition school supplies too.

Monetary donations for the “Gotchu Fund,” which helps support educational opportunities for students such as Advanced Placement exam costs, field trips, and educational camps, are also appreciated.

The drive will take place in front of the school’s pool doors and those interested are asked to enter the parking lot at the Second Street entrance and exit on Foote Avenue.
