Voters Elect New Board Members, Approve School Budget & Reserve Fund

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Results for the 2023 Budget Vote and School Board Election for Jamestown Public Schools are in.

On Tuesday, Jamestown residents voted to approve both the 2023-24 School Budget and the creation of a $5 Million Dollar Capital Reserve Fund. 


Three new school board members were also elected for three-year terms starting on July 1.

Incumbents Paul Abbott and Christine Schnars were re-elected, with newcomer John Panebianco besting Melissa Paterniti for the final board seat.

On Wednesday night the Board of Education will host a vote canvass at 6 p.m. to certify the results.
