Jamestown Man Allegedly Steals Child Again, Barricades Himself In Home

FALCONER, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is accused of barricading himself and a juvenile relative inside of a Falconer home, as part of attempts to evade arrest.

On Monday, Elijah Keefe was first arrested by officers with Jamestown Police after allegedly violating an order of protection by taking a juvenile relative for a north side address.

Then, just days later, patrol personnel received a call Wednesday that the 21-year-old returned to the residence and pushed a female victim, taking her phone as she attempted to call 911, and then again, took the child.

Following a short investigation, officers determined Keefe fled to a residence in the Village of Falconer. With the assistance of Ellicott Police, law enforcement made verbal contact with the suspect who barricaded himself inside with the juvenile.

After forcing entry into the house and a locked room, Keefe was taken into custody. He faces several charges including burglary, criminal contempt and criminal tampering.

The child, officers report, was safely returned uninjured to a family member.
