
JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is behind bars following a domestic dispute involving a metal rod Tuesday morning.
Ellicott police responded to a domestic dispute call at the Colony Motel Tuesday Morning.
Upon arrival, officers found that 51-year-old Bobby Kastelic had allegedly kept a female victim hostage, beating her with a metal rod.
Police allege Kastelic of refusing to let the victim use a phone or escape the motel room to contact authorities, all while being beaten with a metal rod, causing injury.
Eventually, the unidentified female was able to escape and call police.
There was also an order of protection against Kastelic, which was violated in the incident.
He was taken into custody by Ellicott Police and charged with Harassment, Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment, and Criminal Contempt.
Kastelic was transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail where he is being held pending arraignment.
