Buffalo Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Fatal Shooting on City’s West Side


BUFFALO, NY (WNY News Now)- A man will spend the next 20 years behind bars following a fatal shooting in the City of Buffalo.

Victor M. Cramer-Williams, known as “Bookie,” was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 5 years of post-release supervision by Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi for the intentional shooting that claimed a bystander’s life inside an apartment on Buffalo’s West Side.

The incident occurred on January 25, 2022, resulting in the death of 37-year-old Erica M. Ralston and injuring another person.


The defendant fled the scene but was apprehended months later, leading to his guilty plea to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree on June 13, 2023.

The investigation and arrest were credited to the U.S. Marshals Service, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and Buffalo Police Department, with the case being prosecuted by Chief Justin T. Wallens and Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty.
