
Jamestown, NY (WNY News Now) – Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit responded to a shoplifting incident at a 7-Eleven store on North Main Street on 8/8/23, leading to one arrest and the discovery of an outstanding warrant from Denver, CO.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit rushed to the scene at 518 N. Main St (7-Eleven) on the evening of August 8th at approximately 8:27 pm. Preliminary information revealed that a male suspect had absconded from the store with unpaid merchandise, prompting the immediate intervention of law enforcement.
Upon arrival, the officers located and engaged with the individual identified as Ray Luis Camano, 37.
Camano was arrested on charges of Petit Larceny related to the shoplifting incident. During the process of being in custody, a background check disclosed an outstanding warrant issued in Denver, Colorado.
Camano faces additional charges of being a Fugitive from Justice. Following his apprehension, Ray Luis Camano was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is currently held pending arraignment.
