Chautauqua, NY (WNY News Now) – An intoxicated Falconer woman was arrested by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies on August 12, 2023, when her vehicle was discovered in a ditch on Rt. 430.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle stranded in a ditch along Rt. 430 in the Town of Chautauqua on August 12, 2023. Upon arrival at the scene officers found that the operator of the vehicle had fled. Investigation led to the discovery of the operator, Stephanie M. Nick, 39, of Falconer, NY, in a nearby wooded area.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Nick was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently taken into custody by the deputies. Nick now faces several charges, including Aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or Higher), DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, Moved From Lane Unsafely, Fail to Keep Right, No Insurance, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.

Nick was released with tickets to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court on a later date.
