Celoron, NY (WNY News Now) – After a hiatus due to COVID-19, the beloved Dragon Boat races made a triumphant return to Chautauqua Lake, offering a thrilling experience for participants and spectators alike.
The Dragon Boat races, which have been a cherished tradition in the community, made a long-awaited comeback after a pause necessitated by the pandemic. In this latest edition the event witnessed remarkable success as multiple community teams comprising local businesses, community groups, and experienced club teams, engaged in fierce competition on the serene waters of Chautauqua Lake. The races not only brought together participants but also their co-workers, friends, and families, fostering a delightful and engaging atmosphere of camaraderie.
Local merchants were on hand including Chautauqua Lake’s floating hot dog stand. Wieners on the Water owner Vince Liuzzo was docked selling hot dogs and refreshments to an eager crowd.
The event was certainly a day filled with exhilarating race competitions as well as the anticipation of awards for the most interactive and best-dressed drummers, adding a unique element of festivity to the proceedings.
