Man Arrested for Menacing and Resisting Arrest

Jamestown, NY (WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old male was taken into custody on charges of menacing in the second degree and resisting arrest.

The incident occurred on August 13th at around 5:10 PM when officers from the second platoon responded to a report of a person with a weapon on the North side of the city.


Upon investigation, it was revealed that Devon L Wilson, 29, had allegedly threatened a male victim using two butcher knives. When officers attempted to apprehend Wilson, he resisted arrest by attempting to break free from their hold. After a brief struggle, Wilson was successfully taken into custody without any further disturbances.

Following his arrest, Wilson was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is currently being held in custody pending arraignment.
