(WNY News Now) – A late-night incident on 08/19/23 led Jamestown Police to apprehend a 17-year-old male juvenile in possession of cocaine, while an 18-year-old female accomplice attempted to destroy evidence and is now in custody.
On 08/19/23, at approximately 1:35 AM, the Jamestown Police Department responded to a call at The Wine Cellar regarding a report of a Person With a Weapon. Upon arrival, officers initiated an investigation that led to the discovery of a significant quantity of cocaine in the possession of a 17-year-old male juvenile.
While officers were securing the evidence at the scene, an 18-year-old female identified as Kira A. Christensen, a resident of Jamestown attempted to dispose of suspected narcotics by throwing them into the roadway, in an apparent effort to destroy evidence linked to the case.
Christensen was apprehended without incident and subsequently transported to the city jail, where she is currently detained pending arraignment.
The 17-year-old male juvenile was transported to the Jamestown Police Department Juvenile Bureau, where he was handed over to a parent.
