(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended two individuals during a traffic stop in Portland on July 29, 2023.
Portland – On the evening of July 29, 2023, around 6:49 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies carried out a routine traffic stop in Portland. Lawrence Alexander,38, found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license, was operating the vehicle, with Season Brigham,44, as one of the passengers.
Subsequent investigation prompted a search of the vehicle, leading to the discovery of illegal drugs. As authorities moved to apprehend Brigham for her existing warrant, she fled the scene in an attempt to discard evidence. After a short foot chase, Brigham was successfully apprehended and taken into custody.
Season Brigham now faces additional charges, including drug possession, child endangerment, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest. Lawrence Alexander is charged with criminal possession of controlled substances, child endangerment, and aggravated unlicensed operation. Both suspects were arrested and are awaiting further legal proceedings.
