(WNY News Now) – Sunday marked the conclusion of the Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament.
The Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament came to an exciting end on Sunday. While the amount of teams playing continued to shrink as the tournament drew nearer to the championship, the crowd did not. The atmosphere was as exhilarating as it was on Saturday, as everyone watched with bated breath as each team gave their all in the hopes of becoming the champions.
WNY News Now’s Lee Cain Jr. managed to get an interview with one of the winning boys teams and hear some of their thoughts on their match and the tournament as a whole.
Local artist Busy B Love managed to capture the top men’s championship match and was kind enough to offer to share the footage with us. We will be putting up that match as well as the ones we recorded on Channel 716, so that viewers can watch the exciting action from the comfort of their own home.
All in all, the tournament served as a wonderful avenue for the community to come together and enjoy a healthy dose of competition and camaraderie.
