BUFFALO, NY (WNY News Now) – Three arrests were made on Saturday following a shooting that took place earlier that day. 

In the early hours of the morning, authorities noticed a vehicle driving the wrong way on Mariner Street, a one way street. The vehicle was traveling from the direction of a shooting that had occurred just prior in the 200 block of Allen Street.

Upon pulling the vehicle over, officers discovered a bag of pills and a handgun, a loaded Glock 19, in plain view. A bag of a white powder substance was also recovered and believed to be cocaine. 


The trio, 28-year-old Jakari Witt and 31-year-old Tyree Chappell of Buffalo and 27-year-old Nigel Flint of Amherst were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and charged for driving the wrong way on a one way street. 

The incident remains under investigation.
