Duo Arrested On Drug Charges


JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – After a collaboration of the Ellicott Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators, Jamestown and Sheriff K-9 Units, and the Chautauqua County DA’s Office Investigators executed a search warrant at a Main Street residence in Jamestown, a duo were taken into custody.

The search of the residence and vehicles found a quantity of fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, scales, cash, and several cartons of untaxed cigarettes. As a result, 39-year-old Jamie Bennett and 52-year-old Steven Patterson were placed under arrest for Criminal Possession of a controlled substance and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. 

The pair were transported to the Jamestown City Jail where they were held pending arraignment.

If somebody would listen, the cure for the illegal drug and crime epidemic AND the misdirection of the nation is to make ALL intentional crime punishable by permanent removal of social benefits and permanent loss of the ability to vote. We don’t need the input of mentally ill criminals in our elections and crime will drop incredibly quickly if the credible threat of losing subsidy access is made. Also, our representatives should be fined and/or have their pay decreased AND be subject to a review and potentially a special election if they can’t successfully perform their duties. It’s time to adapt and actually fix problems.
