Woman Arrested for DWI in Great Valley After Welfare Check

(WNY News Now) – On October 4, 2023, at approximately 3:56 PM, a 69year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) on Howe Hil Rd. in Great Valley, New York, following a welfare check.

Great Valley – On October 4, 2023, a welfare check on Howe Hil Rd. in the Town of Great Valley led to the arrest of Karen E. Rocco, 69, for DWI. After a subsequent investigation, it was determined that Mrs. Rocco was allegedly impaired by alcohol while operating her vehicle. She was promptly transported to Olean General Hospital, where she consented to a blood sample to test her blood alcohol content (BAC) level. Following medical assessment, Mrs. Rocco was taken to the CCSO SubStation for arrest processing and issued Uniform Traffic Tickets (UTTs).

She is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment at a later date in the Town of Great Valley.
