Silver Creek Resident Pleads Guilty to Weapon Possession


(WNY News Now) – A 28-year-old resident of Silver Creek, has pled guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, as part of a plea agreement orchestrated by the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office. 

Mayville – Dakota S. Sugg, a 28-year-old Silver Creek resident, pleaded guilty on October 18, 2023, to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony. This came as part of a negotiated plea agreement initiated by the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Sugg’s plea bargain also encompassed a separate indictment he faced at the time. Sugg was also contending with several pending matters within local justice courts across Northern Chautauqua County, all stemming from alleged damages to the personal property of other individuals.


Dakota S. Sugg agreed to a settlement that requires him to pay restitution for the property damages alleged in his pending cases. As a result, the pending charges against him will be dismissed, and the affected parties will receive compensation for the alleged damages.

Judge David Foley will sentence Mr. Sugg in the Chautauqua County court on December 18, 2023, when. The sentence imposed will be an indeterminate term of state prison which ranges from 3 to 6 years.
